Prof. Dr. Anja Dieckmann
Anja Dieckmann is a Professor of Business Psychology with a focus on Market Research at Aalen University of Applied Sciences. Since 2022, she has also been serving as Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Communication. Previously, she worked for 15 years at the Nuremberg Institute for Market Decisions (NIM), most recently as Head of the Behavioral Science Research Group. Her research centers on human decision-making, particularly the role of emotions, as well as on the evaluation and development of tools to capture emotional responses in consumer research.
She studied psychology in Würzburg, Germany, and Albany, New York. After an early career step in employer branding at the Boston Consulting Group, she earned her PhD in decision research at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin.
She remains closely connected to NIM, for instance through the joint supervision of student theses and continued collaboration on research projects.
