Honorary President

Manfred Scheske

Manfred Scheske has served on NIM (formerly known as GfK Verein) bodies since 1996, initially as a member of the Advisory Board and since 2009 on the Members‘ Council, latterly as Vice Chair of the Members’ Council. From August 2017 until mid 2018 he was Vice President on NIM’s Executive Committee, which he then led as NIM’s President from July 2018 to mid 2023. As his mandate came to an end in mid 2023, the Members‘ General Assembly elected him to become Honorary President.
He is currently a NIM elected member of the Board of Directors of NIQ Nielsen.

Besides his NIQ mandate, Manfred Scheske has roles and responsibilities with dm Werner Stiftung including serving on the dm drugstore chain’s Supervisory Board. In other roles manfred is Chairman of the Board of  Flarin Holdings Limited, which was spun out of the Infirst Healthcare, which he had co-founded.

Until 2019 Manfred Scheske was CEO of Infirst Healthcare, which operated  Consumer Healthcare businesses in USA and UK.

Before starting Infirst, Manfred had a successful 25 years career with  GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and legacies, where he ran the Consumer Healthcare businesses in Germany/ Austria / Switzerland before he was appointed to lead the North American business and latterly the European Consumer Healthcare business.    

Preceding his time at GSK Manfred Scheske worked in Marketing with Pedigree Petfoods (Mars) und Jacobs Kaffee. He holds a degree in business and economics from the University of Cologne.
