Trust in Professions 2018

From firefighters to politicians

The 2018 edition of the GfK Association's Trust in Professions survey now covers 20 countries worldwide. Mexico is a new addition. Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Nigeria, Austria, Switzerland and the Philippines are no longer part of this study. Occupations are functionally of central importance in societies based on the division of labor: citizens and consumers primarily come into contact with representatives of occupations outside their private lives. Mutual trust is essential to these relationships and transactions. The present study covers the empirically surveyed trust in more than 30 professions with which people enter into relationships either directly or indirectly, i.e., mediated by the media.

The Trust in Professions study was published every two years by the GfK Association.

The study has been discontinued.
