The 2014 GfK Conference focused on health in the broadest sense of the word. The spotlight was on activities and services to help improve wellbeing, prevention and rehabilitation. What can consumers do to remain healthy, become healthy again or cope well with a chronic illness?

Günter Haaf (Pöcking, Bavaria), who has been Chief Editor of the Wort & Bild Verlag publishing house (including Apotheken Umschau) and a medical journalist for many years, gave the opening lecture on the topic of health: “Today and tomorrow”.

Stephanie Ludwig, Head Health, GfK Switzerland, GfK SE, presented the result of a multi-country study on self-care and its impact on health and wellbeing.

Helmut Hübsch, Key Account Manager Food, GfK Consumer Panels, GfK SE, explored the significance of health-related motives when buying organic products.

Herbert Lechner, Division Manager Travel & Logistics, GfK Consumer Panels, GfK SE, discussed the motives and significance for the market of health and wellness tourism.

Florian Bernsdorf, Managing Director of Serviceplan Health & Life, Munich, focused on the challenges of brand communications in an evolving health market.

This year’s event took place at the new "NCC Mitte" congress center in Nuremberg, Germany.
