Key insights during lunch break
December 10th, 2025 at 1:30 pm CET (online)
Speaker
Dr Jakob Kaiser, Senior Researcher Artificial Intelligence, Nuremberg Institute for Market Decisions (NIM)
Topic
How humans and businesses engage with new technologies will shape our economic future.
But why do emerging technological trends inspire hope in some people while others worry about their potential dangers?
At this NIM Insights Lunch, Dr Jakob Kaiser will present the results of a recent global survey that examined the attitudes of 25,000 people in 25 countries towards new technologies.
The 25 nations in this survey represent around 40% of the world’s population and 68% of global GDP, making this a uniquely comprehensive study of public perceptions of technological change.
The study explores questions such as:
➡️ Which countries are optimistic about current technological changes – and which are more sceptical?
➡️ Which sociodemographic factors shape individuals’ attitudes toward new technologies?
➡️ Do people see artificial intelligence as an opportunity or a risk?
➡️ Do people around the world believe that new technologies help reduce economic inequality - or make it worse?
Take the chance to gain insights into people's global attitudes towards new technologies on this scale for the first time and register now for the online session:
Lecture in English language.
