Is An Eco-Score Enough? Effects Of An Eco-Score Compared To Dimensional Information And Of Binary Single Issue Labels In Consumer Food Choice

Comparison of different labels on consumers' choice across countries

Consumers will not normally know the dimensional information on which an eco-score is based. What happens if information on subdimensions is provided in addition to an eco-score or when binary single issue labels are added? And do the effects differ depending on the subjective importance that consumers attach to different dimensions of sustainability? These questions are addressed based on a discrete choice experiment carried out as part of an online survey in Denmark and Slovenia. This study is currently in the field, and results will be available for the conference.
