Dr. Michael Zürn

Dr. Michael Zürn ist Senior Researcher im Bereich Applied Behavioral Science am Nürnberg Institut für Marktentscheidungen.

Er interessiert sich sehr für Verbraucher, Vergleiche und das Selbst. Das Schicksal aller Produkte hängt von den Marktentscheidungen der Verbraucher ab. Um diese Entscheidungen wirklich zu verstehen, müssen die zugrunde liegenden psychologischen Prozesse untersucht werden. Vergleiche sind hier besonders relevant, weil sie nicht nur eine relativ einfache Form der Urteilsbildung darstellen, sondern auch oft Selbst-relevant sind (z. B. fühlen wir uns manchmal besonders clever, wenn wir etwas zu einem niedrigeren Preis bekommen als erwartet).

Seine Forschungsergebnisse wurde unter anderen im Journal of Experimental Psychology, dem Journal of Economic Psychology, Cognition & Emotion oder Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin veröffentlicht.
